[ EEPI-Discuss ] The Current Discussion vs. Textbook Nightmares

Gang,

I sense that the current discussion is trending a bit more toward
the academic than may really be optimal right now.  Some of the
quotations are starting to give me painful flashbacks from economics
courses I took decades ago.

Let's try to steer things more directly toward practical approaches
to the specific problems at hand, and spend a bit less time with
longish messages arguing the underlying philosophical points.
The latter are interesting and important, but I think that more
focus on the former would be useful.
